Use of the platform by children under 13 requires parental or guardian consent and must be facilitated through a school that has entered into a Data Processing Agreement with Pekanga. If you are accessing Pekanga through a school, your school's acceptable use policy also applies alongside these Terms.

What Pekanga does — and does not — provide

Important: Pekanga provides career information and labour market data. It does not provide financial advice, investment advice, or pension advice. Salary data represents national averages drawn from published sources — individual outcomes will vary significantly based on location, employer, experience, and economic conditions. This information is for guidance only.
What Pekanga does not provide
- Regulated financial or investment advice (for which FCA authorisation would be required)
- Guaranteed career outcomes or employment assurances
- University admissions advice or UCAS guidance
- Psychological assessment or clinical careers counselling
- Legal advice of any kind

Pekanga uses artificial intelligence to generate career pathway content personalised to your subject inputs. By using the platform, you acknowledge and accept the following:
- AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or outdated information
- Career guidance produced by the platform is for information purposes only — it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified careers professional
- Labour market conditions change: information about salary ranges and job availability reflects data at the time of generation, not guaranteed future conditions
- AI disruption risk ratings are assessments based on published research — they are not predictions and should be treated as one input among many
Pekanga's AI does not make decisions that have legal or significant effects on users. All information generated is informational and advisory only.

Acceptable use
You agree to use Pekanga only for lawful purposes and in a way that:
- Does not breach any applicable law or regulation
- Does not infringe the rights of any other person
- Does not transmit or upload any material that is harmful, offensive, or defamatory
- Does not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its underlying systems
- Does not use automated tools to scrape, extract, or copy content from the platform in bulk
- Does not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or copy the platform's AI systems or underlying data
You must not:
- Use the platform in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any school or institution
- Use the platform to generate or distribute content that could harm students' wellbeing or career prospects

Intellectual property
All content on the Pekanga platform — including career pathway documents, salary data compilations, AI disruption risk frameworks, and platform design — is owned by or licensed to Pekanga Ltd.
Schools and educators may share and use Pekanga-generated content for educational purposes within their institution, provided Pekanga is credited as the source.
You may not reproduce, distribute, sell, or commercially exploit any Pekanga content without prior written permission from Pekanga Ltd.

Data and privacy
How Pekanga handles your personal data is explained in detail in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these Terms.
Where Pekanga is accessed through a school, the Data Processing Agreement between Pekanga and the school governs how student data is handled. Schools must not provide student access before a DPA is in place.

Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Pekanga provides the platform and all content on an "as is" basis without warranties of any kind
- Pekanga does not warrant that the platform will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free from harmful components
- Pekanga is not liable for any career decisions made in reliance on information generated by the platform
- Pekanga is not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from use of the platform
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
